The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the YWCA of Oil City and is responsible for advancing the organization's mission, strategic direction, financial sustainability, and community impact. ## Essential Duties and Responsibilities
### Leadership & Strategic Management
- Provide visionary leadership that advances the mission and goals of the YWCA.
- Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven organizational culture.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
- Represent the organization within the community and at public events.
- Serve as the primary liaison between staff and the Board of Directors.
- Attend and participate in Board and committee meetings.
- Provide regular reports regarding finances, operations, programs, and strategic initiatives.
- Support Board development, recruitment, and governance activities.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
- Monitor revenues, expenditures, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Oversee bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
- Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals and reports.
- Lead fundraising initiatives and donor stewardship efforts.
- Diversify revenue streams to support sustainability with board oversight and approval of any new initiatives.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
- Provide leadership and professional development opportunities.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and excellent customer service.
- Maintain and grow YWCA membership through outreach and engagement.
- Develop strategies to increase member retention and participation.
- Build partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and agencies.
- Ensure high-quality programming aligned with the YWCA mission.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for growth.
- Oversee facility operations, maintenance, safety, and security.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two years of progressively responsible leadership or management experience.
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and nonprofit operations.
- Grant writing and fundraising experience.
- Strong supervisory and communication skills.
