Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Visitation and Exchange Monitor to facilitate safe and positive interactions between children and their families. In this role, you will oversee visitation exchanges, ensure compliance with court orders, and promote a secure environment for children during visits. Your energetic approach will help foster healthy family relationships while maintaining safety and order.
Responsibilities
- Supervise child visitation exchanges to ensure safety, adherence to court guidelines, and respectful interactions.
- Monitor visits to prevent conflict or disruptive behavior, intervening as necessary with effective conflict management techniques.
- Document visitation activities accurately and prepare monthly reports by deadline
- Maintain a neutral and supportive presence during visits, especially when working with children with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Documents all safety issues that may occur
- Complete participant orientation/intake include review of program policies
- Provides information and referral services
- Evening and weekend availability
- Occasional overnight travel
- Complete required training
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children and/or families
- Knowledge in the dynamics of domestic violence
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Must have valid driver’s licenses and proof of current insurance
- Ability to work effectively with children, individuals with disabilities, families in crisis, and diverse populations.
- Excellent communication skills with a motivational approach that encourages positive family interactions.
Pay: From $15.40 per hour
