What are the responsibilities and job description for the YWkids Assistant Group Leader position at YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accepts responsibility for implementing the Mission of the YWCA.
- Supervision over the health, welfare and safety of the children.
- Provides leadership to children in the group.
- Supervises and interacts with children during snack time.
- Assists Group Leader in supervision of age appropriate, theme based activities.
- Assists with child behavior management skills.
- Completion of necessary forms i.e. behavior, accident.
- Serves as busmonitor when scheduled or needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of the site and adheres to health requirements
- Have knowledge and understanding of Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations.
- Work with the Executive Director and Development Staff to achieve the YWCA’s overall resource development and communications goals.
- Attend and participates in meetings, conferences, trainings as required.
- Other job-related duties and responsibilities may be assigned and/or the job description may change periodically to reflect changing organization needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 16 years old and have experience with school age children.
- Satisfactory response to a CORI/SORI/BRC.
- Must have reliable transportation.
POSITION STATUS: PART TIME/NON-EXEMPT
Monday through Friday
2:00pm – 5:30pm
Additional hours available during school closures
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
