What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Program Lunch Cook position at YWCA Pierce County?
The YWCA Pierce County has been a community leader in domestic violence services for over thirty years. After starting the state's first domestic violence shelter in 1976, the YWCA has steadily expanded and enhanced a comprehensive menu of domestic violence service provision, offering clients real tools to change their lives through safety, healing, and empowerment The YWCA Pierce County touches the lives of over 14,000 adults and children annually that seek safety through this bevy of services. Support from community members via volunteers and donations helps the YWCA Pierce County support our clients in creating lives free of violence, and able to thrive.

Volunteers in this position will prepare lunches for children who use our Drop-In services through our Children’s Program. Lunches will need to be prepared for about 10 children, Monday through Friday. The shifts are from 11 30am-12 30pm and will include preparing food and cleaning up afterwards. Food will be provided.
