YWCA Madison is seeking candidates for a Steps to Stability Coordinator/Case Manager.
The YWCA Steps to Stability (S2S) Coordinator/Case Manager is responsible for facilitating the Steps to Stability tenant-education course designed to serve families experiencing housing instability. The curriculum covers various topics, including finding and maintaining housing, learning landlord/tenant and fair housing laws, financial planning, communicating with landlords, and understanding notices and contracts associated with renting. The S2S Coordinator/Case Manager is responsible for building community relationships and fostering partnerships as well as supporting participants in obtaining/maintaining housing through short-term case management services and a small amount of financial assistance. The S2S Coordinator/Case Manager will provide culturally inclusive, trauma informed programming and services, and will incorporate best practice techniques into the program.
The ideal candidate will have a BSW or BS/BA, and at least 3 years of experience in homeless services and housing access, as well as case management and program coordination experience.
Candidates should also support the mission of the YWCA: elimination of racism and empowerment of women, demonstrate multi-cultural competency and the ability to work with diverse populations, and have good communication and writing skills. Candidates must pass a caregivers background check.
This is a full-time (36 hours per week), salaried position. We offer an excellent benefits package and starting salary of $50,000/year.
