Job description
The Lead Educator is responsible for ensuring the physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of the children in their care. The individual is expected to maintain age-appropriate classroom environment, lesson plans and activities that meet State of Tennessee Licensure Rules.
Schedule – This is a full-time position with benefits, scheduled 40 hours per week. Potential work hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend training sessions may be required.
Education/Experience – Qualified applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. CDA or Degree in related field and two (2) years of experience in a licensed center preferred.
Other Requirements - Must possess valid driver's license. YWCA is a drug free workplace. All employees are expected to refrain from the use of illegal substances.
