What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Instructor for Before and After school kids position at YWCA McLean County?
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for planning educational activities for a diverse group of children ages 5-12, which includes embedding our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, at the before- and after- school program throughout McLean County. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining open communication with child care families. This person will need to be knowledgeable of DCFS regulations. Other duties will include opening and closing the building, ordering food and supplies, and cleaning the area. Job description is subject to change based on business necessity.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 30 semester hours of college credit; 12 hours which must be related to school-age children, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields.
- Ability to work well with children and adults, experience working with school-age children in a program setting preferred.
- All staff must meet DCFS qualification for a school-age worker.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficient in at least one other language is helpful.
- Must be available to start as soon as possible.
WORK HOURS
Monday – Friday, 6:30 – 9 a.m. AND 2:45 -5:30 p.m.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
