This AmeriCorps VISTA position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in community outreach, financial literacy, and program coordination.
Member Duties: The VISTA member will lead efforts to develop a trauma-informed financial empowerment program for survivors of domestic violence.
Duties will include:
- Researching financial literacy resources to identify topics for a 12-session curriculum
- Consulting experts in banking and financial management to define class content
- Developing surveys and feedback tools to evaluate program effectiveness
- Creating facilitator guides and position descriptions; identifying materials and resources needed for classes; develop position descriptions and training for facilitators or volunteers; and researching potential funding sources to support long-term program sustainability.
- Develop engaging financial literacy workshops tailored to diverse community needs
Skills: Ideal candidates are organized, collaborative, and passionate about supporting survivors. Strong research, program development, and communication skills are essential. Experience in financial literacy, nonprofit programs, or education is highly valued. Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

VISTA Member Benefits:
- Living Stipend of $24,962 or $2,080 per month
