Our Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Team provides a safe atmosphere for youth to have a positive connection with non custodial parents in need of supervision for visits. Our program is expanding to offer specialized support and services to families entering the program as a result of Domestic Violence Incidents.

- REPORTS TO: Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Program Director/Project Director

- Tuesdays: 11:00AM-6:30PM
- Wednesdays: 11:00AM-6:30PM
- Thursdays: 11:00AM-6:30PM
- Fridays: 11:00AM-6:30PM
- Saturdays: 11:00AM-6:30PM
- Sundays: N/A
The Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange program provides supervised visits and monitored exchanges to families that are court ordered/cps referred due to a history of domestic violence, substance abuse, child abuse and neglect, mental health issues, and high-conflict parental separation. Children have a safe place to visit and form a healthy relationship with their non-custodial parent, or to swap between parents for weekday/weekend visits. Families are referred by DSS and the courts.
Responsibilities:
- Provides case management/support to victims
- Assists with the completion of risk assessments
- Provides resources and referrals to participants
- Plans drop off and pick up procedures
- Attends training as needed and available.
- Maintains participant records as needed. Document critical incidents.
- Supervises visits/exchanges and provide a safe, secure environment physically and emotionally for children and adults. This may include terminating a visit or intervening if a parent or child demonstrated inappropriate physical or verbal behaviors that compromises physical or emotional safety.
- Follows all policies and procedures.
- Acts as a mandated reporter and report to Child Protective Services all suspicions of abuse.
- Shows ability to work with all families and children in a respectful and fair capacity.
- Must handle crisis situations.
- Able to work independently without a supervisor present.
- Shall perform any other duties and/or activities as required to ensure comprehensive routine daily operation of agency, as requested by their supervisor.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
- Ability to have a varied schedule (Saturday required)
- Must be 18 years of age
