About the Role
The Housing Stabilization Specialist works directly with individuals who have housing vouchers through EDEN. The goal is to help participants secure and maintain stable housing, develop essential life skills, and connect to community resources that promote long-term success.
This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, and experienced in housing services or job readiness programs. The right candidate will be comfortable using technology for case documentation and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with participants to create and carry out individualized service plans.
- Support participants in finding and maintaining housing and reducing the risk of homelessness.
- Provide advocacy, case management, and short-term crisis intervention when needed.
- Facilitate life skills and workforce readiness sessions (financial literacy, budgeting, computer skills, etc.).
- Collaborate with landlords, housing providers, and community agencies to connect participants to resources.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in the client database (ETO) within required timeframes.
- Participate in team meetings, provider meetings, and training sessions.
- Occasionally provide transportation or accompaniment for participants to appointments or court when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience providing support services related to housing stability, workforce readiness, or case management.
- Knowledge of local housing providers, applications, and available resources.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable using computers, databases, and other standard office software for documentation and communication.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel locally as needed.
