Description
We are looking for an experienced
Grant Accountant to join our team! Ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in grant accounting and financial management. The role requires expertise in governmental accounting practices and proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.
Responsibilities:
- Manage grant accounting processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal financial regulations.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and maintain accurate records for grant-related activities.
- Perform month-end close procedures, including general ledger updates and journal entries.
- Reconcile balance sheets and accounts to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and improve reporting processes.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of government funding from multiple revenue sources.
- Maintain and update electronic systems to record financial information efficiently.
- Provide support for audits and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant accounting or a related financial role.
- Strong understanding of governmental accounting policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Power BI.
- Ability to manage complex financial data and prepare accurate reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with federal grant management and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and perform month-end close processes.

Base Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
