Yoga and Meditation Instructor
Job Description
Be a part of a new standard of well-being and provide yoga instruction for YWCA members and staff. Promote the physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being within our community. Teach yoga practices and principles.
Responsibilities:
1. Teach high-quality yoga classes.
2. Lead meditation classes with relaxing breathing techniques.
3. Instruct and demonstrate yoga classes, engaging students and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants of all skill levels.
4. Provide excellent customer service and build rapport.
5. Provide class description and class music to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages students to explore their practice.
6. Effectively manage time to ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Maintain personal hygiene and keep a clean wellness room.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of one year yoga teaching experience preferred
· Valid State License
· Yoga teacher certificate, Yoga Alliance registration preferred
· CPR Certification preferred
Working Conditions:
· Large, wellness room with windows, heat and A/C (elevator accessible)
Immediately Responsible To:
· Community Wellness Director
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
