Job Title: Youth Development Advocate Department: Girls Choice
Reports to: Director of Youth Development Effective Date: 3/25/24
Schedule: 20 hours weekly Monday– Fridays and select Saturdays. Flexible scheduling possibilities. Some evenings required.

Job Summary:
The Youth Development Advocate will provide program support across the Youth Development Department to ensure the success of all stakeholders. They will assist in providing prevention activities, education, and training presentations to program participants. This support includes, assisting Transformations program, assisting Girls Choice Middle and leading Girls choice High and Family fun Fridays.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruiting middle school and high school girls for programs across the Youth Development Department.
- Maintain all required engagement related data per participant, including but not limited to intake, pre/post surveys, ongoing data collection.
- Assist in coordinating field trips and transporting program participants.
- Plan and co-facilitate creative activities, programs, and interactions for youth and others that focus on gender stereotypes and differences, boundaries, socialization, and character development.
- Responsible for facilitating and overseeing Family Fun Fridays by having activities planned for families to participate in on Friday nights, including swim time.
- Support tabling events when presented possible weekend availability.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment.
- Demonstrated public speaking, facilitation, training, and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage youth and professionals.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required. Youth experience preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations, such as youth and their families and communities of color.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended intervals.
