What are the responsibilities and job description for the GROUP LEADER - Clark St. School position at YWCA CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS INC?
As a Group Leader you will oversee children in the YWCA of Central Massachusetts' after school program at the Clark St. School in Worcester, 2:00pm - 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining an environment which includes a balance of social, recreational and structured activities and where children can learn and grow, interact comfortably with adults, and participate in individual and group activities.
- Supervising children in play and structured activities.
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for children, performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Communicating with parents on a daily basis regarding progress of their child, participating in parent activities as appropriate, and working with School Age Site Coordinator in working with families who are in need of intervention.
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 months experience working with school age children
- Ability to relate with coworkers/parents in a cooperative and positive manner.
Salary : $17 - $19
