YWCA Bradford is seeking a full-time Program Staff member to join our Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities Program (MHDDP). Experience is preferred but not required.
Position Summary
MHDDP Program Staff provide direct, person-centered support to individuals with mental health and/or developmental disability diagnoses through Home and Community Habilitation, Supported Living, and Medication Management services. This role supports participants in developing skills, independence, and natural support systems that promote successful living in home- and community-based settings.
Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Schedule includes evenings, nights, and weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to program participants in community settings, including evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
- Assist individuals with developing, maintaining, and strengthening daily living, socialization, and adaptive skills.
- Support participants in building and maintaining natural support systems to promote appropriate interdependence.
- Advocate for participants’ needs while promoting safety, dignity, and overall well-being.
- Accurately document services and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and participants.
- Adapt to changing schedules, participant needs, and program requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in mental health or developmental disabilities services preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Compassionate, reliable, and flexible with strong people skills.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Ability to travel within McKean County and surrounding areas.
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of required background clearances.
