RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Teacher is responsible for the care and education of a group of children as part of a teaching team and functions as a team leader. This person plans and implements the curriculum and works with parents to assess the needs of the individual children. The Lead Teacher must be able to effectively supervise other staff and volunteers assisting in the classroom, be sensitive to the needs of the individual children and relate well to both the children and adults.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
§ Must be at least 19 years of age.
§ A minimum of sixty (60) semester hours of college; six (6) credit hours must be in education, child development or related field required.
§ Experience teaching, developing and implementing curriculum for young children preferred.
§ Proficiency in English required.
§ Good verbal and written communication skills required.
§ Proficient in at least one other language is helpful to translate documents and conversations for clients.
§ Must be available to start as soon as possible.
WORK HOURS
Full time, 38.5 to 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. OR from 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Full benefits package included.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 per hour
