Position Summary
The Housing and Program Manager provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of assigned YWCA Alliance programs, with a heavy emphasis on transitional housing. They will be working to ensure that services are effective, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
This position manages daily operations, providing case management, and supports the implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of all YWCA Alliance program area.
The Housing and Program Manager plays a key role in fostering a trauma-informed, equity-centered culture of service excellence and collaboration across all program operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the Transitional Housing Program, including resident intake, case management, service coordination, and compliance.
- Ensure participant safety, confidentiality, and empowerment through consistent implementation of policies and best practices.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of all YWCA Alliance initiatives and programs to ensure service quality, compliance, and mission alignment.
- Support the Program Director in implementing program goals, evaluating outcomes, and meeting grant and contract requirements.
- Serve as a liaison to community partners and coordinates service delivery.
- Provides crisis interventions and ensures all services meet compliance standards.
- Assist with developing and implementing new initiatives to address community needs and expand YWCA’s impact.
- Manage housing program budgets, assist with grant applications, and track performance outcomes.
- Represent YWCA Alliance at community meetings, coalitions, and task forces to enhance collaboration and awareness.
- Build partnerships with schools, workforce agencies, and health and human service organizations to expand access to resources.
- Support advocacy efforts that advance YWCA’s mission and address systemic inequities impacting women, children, and families.
- Maintain documentation, records, and reports in compliance with all funding and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in audits, monitoring visits, and quality assurance reviews.
- Assist the Program Director in maintaining program budgets, outcomes tracking, and risk management processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, case management, and community resource navigation.
- Strong leadership, team collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and program data systems.
- Commitment to YWCA’s mission and values of equity, inclusion, and empowerment.
Work Environment
This position is primarily on-site at YWCA Alliance program locations, with occasional local travel for meetings, training, and community engagement. Some evening or weekend hours may be required to meet participant and program needs.
