As an on-site AV/IT Support Specialist at a Fortune 500 professional services firm, you’ll play a key role in ensuring flawless execution of meetings, conferences, and large-scale events within a fast-paced corporate environment.
You’ll serve as the go-to expert for AV and conferencing technology in the Charlotte office, supporting high-profile meetings and collaborating with IT teams to ensure all systems run smoothly. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to manage enterprise AV systems while enhancing your technical expertise in a world-class, client-facing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide on-site AV and IT support for conference rooms, meeting spaces, and corporate events.
- Manage and troubleshoot AV equipment, including microphones, cameras, projectors, displays, control panels, and speakers.
- Configure and support Microsoft Teams Rooms, Surface Hubs, and Crestron systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot additional conferencing technologies such as Cisco, Polycom, and Condeco.
- Partner with internal IT teams and AV vendors to ensure system reliability and timely resolutions of issues.
- Support event and meeting setups, ensuring seamless end-user experiences for executives and visiting teams.
- Provide basic IT hardware/software support, including laptops, peripherals, and network connectivity as needed.
- Document troubleshooting steps, system configurations, and provide knowledge sharing with local IT staff.
- Assist with AV refresh projects and technology upgrades across the Boston office and conference center.
Job Skills/Requirements
- 3 years of hands-on AV support experience in a corporate or conference center environment.
- Proven experience with Crestron, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and Surface Hub configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Cisco or Polycom conferencing systems and room scheduling technologies (Condeco preferred).
- Strong understanding of audio visual signal flow, hardware connectivity, and live meeting support.
- Basic IT knowledge in Windows OS, networking, and end-user support (A or Network preferred).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support executive-level users.
- Calm under pressure and able to resolve issues quickly in live meeting scenarios.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate within a regional IT team.
