Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service stations in accordance with food safety standards.
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using a POS system, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while providing clear receipts.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Support other team members with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, or assisting with host/hostess duties as needed.
- Uphold sanitation standards through proper food handling practices and adherence to health regulations.
- Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing inquiries, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
Skills
- Previous proven experience in food service or restaurant environments for a long duration.
- Familiarity with POS systems and delivery tablets.
- Strong sushi and teriyaki knowledge coupled with excellent food handling and sanitation skills.
- Exceptional customer service abilities with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order calculations.
- Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members alike.
Pay: $16.90 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
