Position Title: HVAC Master Ammonia/Freon Technician
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing ammonia refrigeration on commercial low-temperature coolers & freezers.
- Ensure continued production operation as it relates to refrigeration equipment.
- Dismantle malfunctioning system and test components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment
- Responds to emergency Calls regarding refrigeration systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical demands with activity or conditions that require considerable time include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and carrying products.
- Ability to frequently lift or move 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to 100 degrees.
- Ability to work from elevated catwalks, aerial lift platforms, ladders, and scissor lift
- Must be able to grip a minimum of 45 lbs. with each hand

Minimum Requirements:
- Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in refrigeration and HVAC and utility equipment/systems operation, repair, and maintenance. (RETA Certification – CARO and CIRO)
- EPA refrigerant recovery certification.
- HAZMAT training certification preferred.
- Must be able to work in -40 to 100 degree temperatures.
- Must be able to provide own hand tools.
- Must have working knowledge of Process Safety Management program (PSM) relative to Ammonia Refrigeration Systems
- Excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid Texas Drivers License and 5 years of driving experience
- Some travel required.
- No visible tattoos or piercings permitted while in the workplace

- Contingent upon the successful completion of a company-initiated and approved background check and motor vehicle report (MVR), drug screen, physical, and human performance evaluation (HPE)
