Purpose Statement:
- The position of Student Information System Specialist is done for the purpose of providing student management system support by providing application support and administration, advanced troubleshooting of system issues, review of requests for customization, creating reports, user training and documentation, as well as testing and coordinating installation of: updates, enhancements, and new releases of the student management system.
Essential Functions:
- Support personnel uses of technology.
- Collaborate with personnel and outside entities to meet needs.
- Testing, maintenance, administration of the student management system.
- Understanding of district rules of operation as it relates to student information.
- Provide specialized training for personnel on functionality of student management system.
- Perform routine tasks as scheduled.
- Assist with projects as required.
- Attend scheduled meetings as required.
- Interact professionally with fellow employees, customers, and outside entities.
- Adhere to Governing Board Policies.
Other Functions:
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Desired Experience:
- Experience working with student management systems.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL
