Role Description
The Ultrasound Technologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Yuma, CO. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including general, obstetric, and vascular studies, in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. The Ultrasound Technologist prepares and positions patients, operates ultrasound equipment, and ensures high-quality images for accurate interpretation. The role includes maintaining patient safety and comfort, documenting procedures and findings in the electronic health record, and collaborating with radiologists, providers, and nursing staff to support timely diagnosis and treatment. Additional responsibilities may include equipment quality control, assisting with workflow coordination, and contributing to continuous improvement of imaging services.
Qualifications
- Certification and registration with relevant professional bodies such as American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Minimum one (1) year experience in Radiology and Medicine as they relate to general exams, abdomens, OB/GYN, breast, vascular/arterial.
- Completed approved, accredited program in Ultrasound Technology.
- State licensure or eligibility as required by Colorado regulations.
- Strong patient communication skills, ability to explain procedures, and maintain patient comfort and privacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification and familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols.
- Prior Authorization Certified Specialist (PACS) certification.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Willing to train in Echo if not certified.
Compensation
- Starting Pay Range: $42.08/hr - $55.37/hr , depending on experience
- $10,000 Sign On Bonus!
- Position Status: Full Time
