About The Job
The Tax intern will be responsible for the assisting the U.S. income tax compliance team and gain valuable hands-on experience in the tax field. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting, supporting a range of tax and accounting activities for our Yum! Brands.
You will be required to attend the Louisville, KY office three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).
Salary Range
Hourly pay is $20.00 - $28.00 (based on year in school). This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

About The Job

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with federal, state and local income tax notice responses.
- Assist with gathering tax return information to support third party service providers.
- Prepare federal and state quarterly excise tax returns.
- Provide federal and state audit support by gathering tax return and supporting workpaper data.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with focus in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Candidate looking for longer than 1 year commitment is preferred)

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software is a plus
