Job Description
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will build and support solutions that help teams work more effectively and improve the employee experience. You will partner with business stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, platform administrators, architects, and technology teams to understand business needs and turn them into secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
Your work will span the delivery and ongoing support of applications, workflows, integrations, and user experiences across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, and other supported ServiceNow capabilities. You will use both configuration and code to enhance the platform, connect it with enterprise systems, and deliver solutions that balance immediate business needs with long-term reliability and maintainability.
In This Role, You Will
‣ Work with business and technology partners to clarify requirements, evaluate solution options, and translate business needs into technical designs and implementation plans.
‣ Design, develop, configure, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations, and user experiences using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, UI Builder, App Engine Studio, IntegrationHub, and related technologies.
‣ Enhance supported ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, and Now Assist, and integrate the platform with enterprise applications through REST APIs, SOAP services, and other approved technologies.
‣ Deliver reusable, scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions that improve efficiency and adoption while supporting maintainability and reducing technical debt.
‣ Contribute throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle by refining work, estimating solutions, supporting sprint planning, performing unit, integration, and regression testing, assisting with user acceptance testing, participating in peer reviews, and maintaining technical documentation.
‣ Support the health and continued evolution of the ServiceNow platform by resolving application and integration issues, analyzing root causes, improving performance and reliability, and supporting upgrades, patches, hotfixes, releases, and post-release validation.
You will follow established development standards, architecture guidance, security controls, governance requirements, and platform best practices in all aspects of your work. You will also stay current with ServiceNow releases and capabilities and apply relevant improvements as the platform evolves.
You will be most successful in this role if you communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical partners, approach problems methodically, collaborate well across teams, and can balance multiple priorities in an Agile delivery environment.
A BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, equivalent technical training, or equivalent work experience is applicable. Enterprise experience with ServiceNow development, configuration, administration, or platform support is preferred. ITIL certification, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Implementation Specialist, and relevant ServiceNow Micro-Certifications are also preferred.
