The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Position Summary: Assist in maintaining all aspects of research project(s).
Position Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- 2 – 3 years successful work experience in communities with Yupik, Cup’ik, and/or Athabascan spoken languages
- Certification in bioethics within 4 weeks of hire (on the job training/online cert)
- Computer literacy, 6 months or compatible computer system or college credits for MS word/excel, etc.
- Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from traditional councils, cohort study participants, health care providers, and the public. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Strongly prefer Yupik language skills.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out details but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
