TITLE: RECEPTIONIST (HIGH SCHOOL; COLLEGE & CAREER)

JOB SUMMARY: To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office, so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.

REPORTS TO: Principal and/or Assistant Principal

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Greets and assists visitors to the YHS campus.
• Makes arrangements for conferences and arranges for visitor comfort. 
• Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a productive and smoothly run office.
• Maintains such student records as shall be required.
• Maintains a regular filing system, and processes incoming correspondence as instructed.
• Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts it into usable form.
• Performs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the position.
• Orders and maintains supplies as needed.
• Assists teachers in preparing instructional materials as requested.
• Places and receives telephone calls, and records messages.
• Receipts and deposits all incoming monies.
• Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may assign from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High School Diploma
• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Working Knowledge of Basic Office Procedures
• Operation of Common Office Equipment.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• 188 day contract, 8 hours per day
• 1.15 pay ratio 2025-2026 (FY26) YPS Support Pay Scales

STATUS:  Non-exempt Support
