About the Role
The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is currently recruiting for a Correctional Officer to join our team at the Yuba County Jail. As a key member of our corrections team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security, safety, and care of individuals in custody.
As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of duties in support of both corrections and bailiff functions. This includes ensuring the safe and secure transportation of inmates, as well as maintaining order and discipline within the facility.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from high school and some college level coursework in law enforcement, criminal justice or a related field
- At least one year of related work experience involving public contact
- Ability to multitask and work independently when necessary, but also have a teamwork mentality
