Job Summary
The Paraeducator supports Middle College High School students by providing direct academic assistance focused on high school coursework. This role ensures students remain on track academically, understand expectations, and have all required coursework, platforms, and materials properly set up and accessible. They work closely with students, teachers, and site staff to promote academic progress, organization, and accountability.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. High School diploma or the equivalent and; 2. 48 college units 3. A.A. degree or higher 4. Pass a local assessment of knowledge (Paraprofessional Exam)
***You MUST have one of the following documents attached to your application or you will not be interviewed***: • Copy of Transcript (Unofficial is acceptable) or Passing results of Paraprofessional Exam • Proof of High School graduation or equivalent • Resume • Letter(s) of recommendation (Minimum of 2 Letters) If you do not meet the minimum qualifications but would like to take a paraeducator exam, you can register for our paraeducator test here: https://www.yubacoe.org/departments/human-resources/paraeducator-proficiency-assessment All applicants must complete an online application through EDJOIN at www.edjoin.org and required documents must be attached to the EDJOIN application (do not email, mail, or fax).
