The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the flexibly staffed position of Public Works Maintenance Worker I/II in the Public Works Department within the Community Development and Services Agency. Depending on experience and the needs of the department, the position may be filled directly at the Public Works Maintenance Worker II level. The primary assignment for this position would be to perform maintenance of County parks including mowing, pruning, irrigation, and irrigation system repairs. Additionally, the incumbent would be responsible to learn and perform semi-skilled and skilled work in the construction, maintenance and repair of roads, bridges, rights of way, parks and related County infrastructure in a centralized or rural location; operate and perform basic maintenance and adjustment to light and heavy equipment in the performance of the work; install street and traffic signs for County roadways and perform related work as assigned.
