What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Specialist, Overnight (53968) position at YSS?
YSS is hunting for a night-owl with a big heart and a quick brain to hold down the fort as our next Overnight Youth Specialist!
As our overnight pro, you’ll be the calm, trusted presence making sure clients feel safe, respected, and able to actually sleep through the night. When the sun comes up, you’ll help everyone start their day on track—and keep the space running smoothly with some light cleaning and laundry.
What you’ll be up to:
- Keeping clients safe, accounted for, and supported throughout the night on the 11pm-7am shift.
- Modeling the kind of communication, boundaries, and behavior that helps folks thrive.
- Handling admissions and getting paperwork squared away (not glamorous, but oh-so-important).
- Taking referral calls, gathering info, and connecting people to the right YSS or community resources.
- Jumping into crisis mode with calm confidence when needed.
- Logging essential client details so each shift stays in the loop.
Please know this is not a complete list of the position’s responsibilities. Duties can change.
