Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operation of the daycare center, ensuring high-quality care and educational programming for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Supervise and support staff by providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and professional team.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards that promote developmental milestones and learning through play.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols, child safety policies, and disability accommodations.
- Manage enrollment processes, communicate effectively with parents or guardians, and address any concerns promptly to foster strong community relationships.
- Oversee classroom environments to ensure they are engaging, safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
- Coordinate ongoing staff training in areas such as behavior management, special education needs, working with children with disabilities, and caregiving best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience- minimum of three years experience in early childhood education or childcare management, with a strong background in classroom experience across infant care, toddler care, preschool settings, or daycare environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience as a daycare director or similar supervisory role in childcare settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in working with children of diverse needs. Creative Curriculum experience a plus.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and caregiving practices tailored to young children.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, parents, licensing agencies, and community partners.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude focused on nurturing growth and development.
