Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging daily activities that promote early childhood education, social skills, and emotional development.
- Provide attentive infant care, toddler care, and preschool instruction in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among children.
- Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care in collaboration with specialists when required.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Manage classroom routines such as meal times, nap schedules, diapering, and transitions smoothly and efficiently.
- Document observations of children’s development to track progress and inform future planning.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and uphold licensing standards for daycare operations.
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, early education techniques, and behavior management strategies.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively through positive behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques for creating an organized learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members clearly and compassionately.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to infant care, toddler care, and overall childcare practices.
- Ability to adapt activities for different age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
