Application Question(s):
- You are the new Director of a transitional housing program for youth ages 18–24 with histories of homelessness, foster care, trafficking, or family rejection.
Within 60 days you discover: case files would fail a state audit; staff inconsistently enforce rules to avoid “re-traumatizing” youth; a staff member loaned money to a resident and texts off-hours; a resident brought an unauthorized overnight guest; a donor demands discharge of a high-incident youth; morale is low and staff openly disagree with policies.
Walk me through your first 90 days: risk containment, correcting boundary violations, balancing trauma-informed care with rule enforcement, responding to donor pressure, metrics for stability, and non-negotiables.
Experience:
- residential care: 3 years (Required)
Work Location: In person
Salary : $30,000 - $60,000
