The Youth Service Bureau is seeking individuals who enjoy caring for, working with and engaging with youth in a meaningful way to serve in full or part time overnight position.
The Youth Service Bureau is a licensed Child Welfare agency in Springfield, Illinois that has been serving at-risk youth and their families for over 49 years. The agency serves the counties of Sangamon, Christian, Logan,
Menard and Mason. The Youth Service Bureau provides services to youth ages 11 – 21 that are abused, neglected, runaway or homeless.
Available Shift:
12:00 am – 8:00 am
Job Description:
DS staff will have the primary responsibility for establishing and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment at the shelter for youth who are housed there. DS staff are responsible for the daily operation, maintaining the cleanliness of the area, conducting activities with youth and supervising youth at all times. DS staff will serve as a positive role model for youth by exhibiting responsible and considerate behaviors and will create a nurturing home-like environment. Weekly pay period.
Requirements:
- Be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Hold a current Illinois Driver’s License & good driving record
- Have reliable transportation
- Have current automobile insurance
- Have a high school diploma/GED
- Be able to pass a DCFS background check
