What You’ll Do:

This position will be responsible for a variety of activities directed toward the overall success of the Drop-in Center and actively engage with the young people who come to YSB. In this role, the coordinator will provide basic needs; conduct preliminary assessments and referrals; coordinate daily Drop-in Center activities and provide crisis intervention services.

Your Responsibilities in the Role:

· Support daily operations of the Drop-In Center to ensure a safe, structured, and youth-centered environment.

· Coordinate life skills programming, educational workshops, outside presenters, and community outings in col-laboration with the Street Outreach Supervisor.

· Maintain inventory and oversee purchasing and stocking of supplies, food, hygiene items, and outreach mate-rials.

· Provide youth with education, prevention information, crisis intervention, and referrals for housing, medical care, employment, and other community resources.

· Complete timely case notes and maintain accurate data collection in compliance with agency and funder standards.

· Support the training of new Drop-in Center employees in partnership with the Street Outreach Supervisor.

· Participate in program evaluation, staff meetings, and agency initiatives.

· Utilize a strength-based, trauma-informed approach in all interactions.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

· Experience working with at-risk teens and young adults.

· High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred but not required.

· Valid Indiana driver’s license, use of personal vehicle, and proof of insurance coverage as required by agency.

· Familiarity with child abuse and neglect issues; health/lifestyle issues; stress management, teen/young adult issues; familiar with community resources; ability to clearly communicate orally and in written form; ability to accurately assess situations; able to organize and implement plans.

· Technology Skills: Basic computer skills, Office 365

· Communication Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Leadership/ Behaviors: Familiarity with child abuse and neglect issues including runaway/homeless population, knowledge of area social service agencies, strong leadership skills, and the commitment to continual learning and quality performance.
