POSITION: Foster Care Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS: MSW and equivalent human service degree with three years supervisory experience in social work setting. Computer knowledge including proficient knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel and access) and keyboarding. Child welfare licensure. Sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences of individuals and families in groups outside one's own.

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt Full-Time
REPORTS TO: Child Welfare Director
Summary: To supervise YSB Child Welfare Services (primarily Foster Care Services)
I. Duties: Foster Care Supervision
Review, accept, and assign referrals to Foster Care.
Provide direct supervision of the Foster Care Program and staff.
Facilitate regular team meetings for the Foster Care Program.
Ensure case documentation meets agency and COA requirements.
Ensure staff in the foster care program collect data on all clients needed to assess outcome achievement.
Writing monthly supervision notes
Facilitate child and family team meetings
Hire and train Foster Care Program staff
Maintain order and security of foster care case records.
Develop, modify and monitor internal procedures for assigned programs.
Prepare and present reports for review and funders as needed.
Evaluate assigned programs and implement service delivery changes to ensure ongoing quality.
Ensure all client referrals and safety assessments are completed
Monitor data performance and make adjustments as needed
Ensure all case documentation is completed on time
Il. Administration
Assume principal authority for duties and responsibilities delegated to all foster care staff.
Approves monthly and other periodic program reports to agency contractors and grantors.
Participate in all supervisory meetings and decision making.
Represent the agency at public relations, fundraising, or other activities as directed by the Executive Director.
Actively participate in YSBIVs continuous quality improvement program.
Maintain professional licensure through the State Department of Professional Licensure.
Must be familiar with DCFS Performance Benchmarks and be able to facilitate the needed benchmark.
Must be able to track Benchmark progress and adequately assess statistical progress.
