The organization focuses on customized, individualized arts education so that students are not simply placed in an ensemble, but are given meaningful opportunities to discover what theatre can be for them. Overview

$20/hour plus bonuses

The Fundraising & Sponsorship Manager plays a critical role in advancing our mission by growing contributed revenue through corporate sponsorships, community partnerships, and individual giving. This relationship-driven position works closely with the Executive Director to identify, cultivate, and steward sponsors and donors who believe in the impact of performing arts education. This role is ideal for a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships, telling a compelling story, and connecting people to meaningful work. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of sales processes, and experience in B2B sales and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, and steward corporate and community sponsors
  • Conduct outbound and warm outreach to secure new sponsorships and partnerships
  • Manage relationships with existing sponsors to ensure fulfillment and renewal
  • Develop sponsorship opportunities for productions, programs, and events
  • Support individual donor outreach, acknowledgements, and stewardship
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns, benefit events, and giving initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership and marketing to create sponsorship proposals and materials
  • Track outreach, sponsorships, and donor activity in CRM software
  • Represent the organization at select performances and community events as needed

Skills

  • Passion for the performing arts and youth development
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or other sales environments
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort with outreach and asking for financial support
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and basic office tools
  • Availability for occasional evenings and weekends

Preferred:

  • Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or sponsorship sales
  • Experience working with corporate or community partners
  • Familiarity with CRM or donor databases
  • Background in arts, education, or nonprofit organizations

This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about driving organizational growth through strategic partnerships and effective communication.
