What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Coordinator position at YOUTH HEALTH ASSOCIATES INC?
We are seeking an Education Coordinator to support the educational development of our clients within a residential treatment setting. Our clients have diverse academic abilities and learning needs, requiring a flexible and supportive approach to education.
The Education Coordinator will track and order educational material for each student and assist students with technology based educational activities/testing for each subject. Must ensure each student has appropriate individualized educational materials available each day and all required documents are submitted for enrollment in a timely manner to accredited education provider. Must grade educational materials and keep accurate records of student grades. Keep a consistent school schedule and implement extracurricular activities to assist learning. Attend required meetings and communicate student progress with team members/staff. Must be an exceptional problem solver and communicate with education provider when issues arise to troubleshoot possible solutions.
This position’s responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
• Tracking client progress and creating individualized education goals throughout the year.
• Communicating client progress with team members and being a proactive problem solver.
• Assisting clients with daily educational needs and monitoring their educational advancement.
• Attending multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss academic progress of students.
• Ordering and tracking educational supplies.
• Forming positive rapport with students and coworkers.
• Completing IEP Reviews and Renewals for Students

Qualifications:
Preferred experience and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in education preferred.
Special Education skills and endorsement preferred, but not required.
Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Must be an active problem solver and work well with a team. Experience with Excel and spreadsheets is required. Must be able to communicate well with a team and work well with adolescent students. Experience working in the mental health environment is preferred, but program specific training is provided and required for Education Coordinator. Ability to form positive rapport with students and coworkers.
Salary : $24 - $30
