Position Summary:

Administrative-based interns will focus on various administrative tasks, research, report-making, training and development, leadership, and program management. Interns will be matched with a qualified site supervisor or program manager and supported by Youth Guidance’s Internship coordinator.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Outreach to local government officials, organize stakeholders and create testimonies for public hearings  

  • Partnership liaison providing communication to existing partners aligned with our mission and vision  

  • Observe, co-facilitate, or facilitate group sessions for postsecondary readiness aligned with our social emotional objectives  

  • Support weekly required documentation of attendance, surveys, etc. (non-Salesforce related)  

  • Parent engagement, coordination and communication  

  • Support administrative duties in the areas of marketing all BAM-FI events and external affairs to include graphic design, content creation, etc.   

  • Participate in other professional development opportunities, as assigned  

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree 

  • Currently seeking school credit through an internship 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills 

  • Capable of collaborating in team settings and working independently 

  • Demonstrates cultural competency, including an understanding of the effects of institutional racism and systemic oppression on marginalized populations 

  • Demonstrates creativity in engaging youth 

  • Exhibits a positive team-based approach to treatment and care working with clients 

  • Fluent in other languages besides English preferred

  • The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • This job operates in a professional office environment, school setting and working with the public, all Youth Guidance employees must be fully vaccinated or approved for a medical or religious exemption
