Position Summary
This position is paid August-May.
Schedule:
Lunch Visits: Monday-Thursday 10-12pm
AS Programming: Monday-Wednesday 1-6pm
Recurring Meetings: Weekly City Life Meetings & Quarterly All Staff Meetings
Special Events/Trips: City Life Luncheon, Spring Break, Camps, Cedar Point, Community/Church Engagement Events.
POSITION PURPOSE
To run after school programs at the City Life Center.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan and Lead After School Programs
Help create fun, meaningful weekly programs where students feel loved and seen.
Work with the team to plan games, food, etc.
Keep things organized and help create a space where students want to come back.
2. Build Relationships Using YFC RMA’s
Be intentional about connecting with students through YFC’s Relational Ministry Actions (RMA’s)—spending time with them, listening to their stories, and pointing them to Christ.
Lead or assist with small groups, one-on-ones, and other ways students can grow holistically.
Attend YFC trips and events
3. Community Engagement
Be present within FWCS—showing up during lunch, at games, performances, or wherever students gather.
Represent City Life in the community at relevant events
4. Be Part of the Team
Attend team meetings, trainings, and check-ins.
Share feedback, celebrate wins, and help shape the future of the ministry.
Act as a resource as necessary for programs such as RealTALK
5. Create Opportunities for Others to Serve
Help invite and include ministry leaders, church members, and other partners into what’s happening at City Life
FUNDRAISING RESPONSIBILITIES
All leaders will be given the opportunity to be involved in the stewardship functions of YFCNIN. These opportunities could include fundraising events, YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided.
SPIRITUAL REPONSIBILITIES
Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage lifelong disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.
As an employee and a minister of the Gospel, YFCNIN expects all employees to:
Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of facial expression.
Additionally, YFCNIN leaders will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established YFC process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by YFC USA.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Experience working with inner city youth/under resourced students

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
Student trips may include (as needed): Spring break, YFC Camp (summer), GoMAD conference (fall)
Staff training may include: YFCNIN staff retreat (spring), One Heart Retreat (one time event in the fall), Regional Conference (fall)
