What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Based Mental Health Therapist position at Youth Extensions, Inc.?
Youth Extensions is a mental health agency serving youth and families in North Carolina. The agency provides mental health services free of charge to qualifying families. We are looking for a caring, resilient, and resourceful clinician who thrives in a community-based setting and is dedicated to serving youth with complex behavioral health needs.
The School Based Mental Health Therapist must be a Licensed Clinician (LCSW(A), LCMHC(A), or LMFT(A)) in field related to social work counseling and/or human services and at minimum have one year experience in providing casework services to children and families. The Licensed Clinician must be licensed by the state of North Carolina. This is a contracted position with flexible hours.
Duties include:
- Performing individual therapy sessions for children and/or adolescents on school campuses
- Performing initial interviews and comprehensive clinical assessments as needed
- Developing person-centered plans
- Participate in regular professional development in accordance with discipline and level of skill
- Assist with formulating and coordinating discharge and after-care planning
- Attend all required clinical meetings and submit required documentation

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $43.00 - $48.00 per hour
