One to three months related experience and/or training.
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or equivalent combination and experience
NRA Food Service Sanitation or equivalent/Safe Serve. Valid State Driver’s License.
- Must have basic knowledge of food preparation.
- Accepts food deliveries and logs the type and quantities.
- Ensures proper food-handling requirements are met.
- Sets up the serving line in a neat and orderly way.
- Operates all equipment in a safe manner.
- Works closely with the assigned students to ensure kitchen and dining room areas are clean.
- Ensures the correct portion of meals is served.
- Assists in proper food storage.
- Ensures all safety rules in the kitchen and dining room are followed.
- Provides quality customer service to the students that we serve at all times.
- Participates in teamwork between students and staff; including interdepartmental teamwork.
- Monitors area of responsibility to ensure timely and high-quality services.
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
