PROGRAM MANAGER (Gateway Young Adult):
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Associate Director, is responsible for developing, coordinating, and conducting supervision of staff/operations for the assigned program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, or related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience or any combination of education and experience to equal 5 years which directly reflects background in the areas described under duties including (1) year of demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Extensive knowledge of community resources and the needs of youth.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with the public, especially with community agencies.
- Ability to provide public speaking, staff training and community presentation services.
- Ability to exhibit emotional maturity and good judgment, to include high standards of morals and speech.
- Must be dependable and flexible with regard to working hours.
- Must be able to follow and carry out written and oral instructions quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to use discretion in all facets of work-related situations.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Not Inclusive):
- Works directly with the Senior Associate Director to develop, coordinate and conduct an array of services.
- Collaborate with social service agencies and other social service agencies for program development.
- Monitor case management of clients if provided by the program.
- Coordinate with other division programs to ensure continuity of services.
- Will oversee all referrals made for placement
- Will ensure all program services meet compliance with the program's funding source, Scope of Work
- Will work closely with LCA regarding all facility and client care matters
- Will ensure all critical incidents are reported to the appropriate authorities and YDI Vice Presidents by the stipulated time frame per policy
- Provide written monthly program reports due no later than the 5th of the following month to the Vice Presidents
- Responsible for day-to-day operation of programs to include purchasing inventory control, staff scheduling, and other department records.
- Will work directly with the PIBH Senior Management Team (Clinical Manager; Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director, and Vice Presidents) in formulating policies and procedures according to the requirements set by the department
- Will oversee service planning and delivery and provide program consultation as appropriate.
- Will be responsible to oversee and monitor case records and implement the use of the record keeping system by staff.
- Will be responsible to complete monthly, quarterly and semiannual reports for funding sources as specified in the respective program's scope of works.
- Will monitor, review and approve all notes in the electronic record system is applicable to the respective program. If not, will review all client hard copy files monthly.
- Wi11 conduct program staff meetings to review client progress and discuss any issues related to program operations.
- Wil1 recommend, plan and/or conduct in-service training for program staff in conjunction with the C1inical Supervisor/Manager.
- In conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor/Manager, will conduct ongoing research to evaluate program services.
- Will conduct employee evaluations and provide necessary employee assistance, guidance and improvement recommendations, as needed.
- Will provide information on appropriate community referrals.
- Attend all required training and meetings, including mandatory funder meetings.
- Will work collaboratively with the assigned budget analyst and Clinical Supervisor/ Manager to oversee the program budget, expenditures and reporting workbooks.
- Will be responsible to ensure the program is safe for all youth.
- Will be responsible for reviewing all critical incidents, training and assisting staff in the writing of critical incidents and submitting these to the clinical team for review
- Will participate in weekly supervision with the Clinical Supervisor/Manager
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with YDI employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulation concerning confidentiality.
Good general health.
Background investigation to include fingerprinting will be required.
TB Skin Test and Physical may be required every two years.
Frequent travel is required by employee(s) and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required.
