Direct Support Professional (3p-11p shift)

Ironcrest is a residential facility for behavioral-challenged children.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervise, organize, and support recreational and/or socialization activities
• Play an active role in leading the milieu staff through youth’s structured routine while collaborating with youth’s case manager, clinician, and prescriber
• Engage and interact with youth based on behavioral intervention plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment
• Observing, documenting, and acknowledging positive behaviors
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor level degree in a related social service field (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health etc.), Psychology preferred. Preference to those interested in enrolling in an MSW program, to achieve growth within the agency.

1 year or more experience with a high school diploma working with youth in a behavioral group setting.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Schedule: Weekdays or Weekends Full time/Part time 3p-11p Shift

Ironcrest is a program of Youth Consultation Service (YCS), which is a behavioral health and social services agency that has been caring for at risk children and families since 1918 in therapeutic residences, special education schools, in-home and in-community programs throughout NJ.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Group home or Residential care facility : 1 year (Preferred)
• Working as a peer counselor, youth group or mentor/tutor: 1 year (Required)
• Working with youth in a group or behavioral setting: 1 year (Required)
• Volunteer work with youth in any professional capacity: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Standard NJ Driver's License (Required)
