What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Coordinator position at Youth Consultation Service (YCS)?
Youth Consultation Service (YCS) is a behavioral health and social services agency that has been caring for at risk children and families since 1918 in therapeutic residences, special education schools, in-home and in-community programs throughout NJ.
Currently seeking a Benefits Coordinator who will be responsible for administering and maintaining benefits procedures programs and policies.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee leaves of absence and worker’s compensation claims and provide guidance and support to Program Administrators
- Use technology to automate processes currently done with paper forms
- Develop benefits communications and counsel employees on benefits-related issues
- Liaison with all plan vendors and 3rd party administrators on delivery of services, employee issues and benefits related concerns
- Conduct orientation and other benefits related presentations
- Manage the relationship with self-insured carriers, which includes reconciliation of daily funding requests and stop loss payments, plan revisions, analysis of claim experience, renewal negotiations, billing and claims administration
- Monitor and investigate discrepancies of electronic enrollment feeds on a weekly basis
- Electronically submit retirement plan contributions, process distributions and loan requests
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, and Affordable Care Act (1094 and 1095-C Filings)
- Draft, document and maintain administrative policies as well as all benefits related communications, including plan documents, annual open enrollment communications and Summary Plan Descriptions
- Manage all plan audits and assist in the completion of the 5500 filings
- Manage reasonable accommodation requests
- Manage retirement plan, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) death claims
- Coordinate the transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, plan administration and benefit surveys
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Excellent with technology including HRIS systems (experience with UKG preferred)
1-2 years of human resources experience
Detail oriented and well organized
Strong team player with good communication and writing skills
