Responsibilities
- Assist the principal in developing and executing strategic planning initiatives to enhance school performance and student achievement.
- Lead curriculum development efforts aligned with state standards, ensuring instructional quality across all departments.
- Supervise and evaluate faculty performance through classroom observations, faculty evaluations, and professional development facilitation.
- Manage school budgets effectively, including managing funds for programs, resources, and staff development as an executive education administrator.
- Oversee compliance with educational laws, regulations, and policies such as special education law and childhood development standards.
- Facilitate professional growth opportunities for staff through targeted training sessions focused on instructional leadership and educational best practices.
- Coordinate school activities related to fundraising efforts, community engagement, and strategic partnerships to support school initiatives.
- Supervise school staff including teachers, counselors, administrative personnel, and support staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Support student discipline policies while promoting a positive school climate that encourages student engagement and safety.
- Collaborate closely with the school’s legal team to ensure adherence to all educational compliance standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in K-12 education administration with a strong background in school leadership roles such as School Administrative Director or similar positions.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and managing educational programs.
- Extensive knowledge of special education law, childhood development principles, and educational compliance requirements.
- Strong management skills with experience supervising faculty and staff within a school setting.
- Ability to develop strategic plans, manage budgets effectively, and lead fundraising initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for public speaking engagements with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders.
- Prior classroom teaching experience coupled with leadership roles in early childhood or high school settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with managing personnel performance evaluations and facilitating professional development sessions for educators.
