Role Description
This is a full-time role based in Kansas City, MO, for a Business Manager. It is a hybrid position with onsite hours of Mondays from 3:00-8:30pm and others as determined by Artistic Director. The Business Manager will oversee the organization’s operations, manage financial records including budgeting and reporting, and coordinate daily administrative tasks. They will work closely with staff, families, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of events and activities. Additionally, the role includes managing communication, supporting fundraising efforts, and tracking organizational goals to ensure alignment with the mission of the Youth Chorus of Kansas City.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and operations management
- Proficiency in communication and public relations to effectively interact with staff, families, and community stakeholders
- Proven experience in project management, event coordination, and strategic planning
- Proficiency with technology tools, including office software and database management tools
- Experience in fundraising and donor relations is highly desirable
- Knowledge or passion for arts education or youth music programs is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Arts Management, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the needs of a dynamic and mission-driven organization
