Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join YFA's dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing various day-to-day HR functions, such as Benefits and Leave of Absence (LOA) management, workers comp, employee training coordination and other HR functions. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong internal customer service and time-management skills and an in-depth understanding of Benefit management and compliance, Open-Enrollment coordination, WC laws in Florida, general HR policies / procedures. Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred. HR Professional Certification preferred.
Benefits Coordination
- Partner with broker and TPA's to administer all employee benefit plans and coordinate annual open enrollment
- Review and approve benefit enrollments, changes, and COBRA activity
- Follow best practices and internal SOP's to manage benefits, evaluate utilization, cost and value
- Coordinate problem resolution when participants encounter challenges using benefits
- Coordinate information required to complete annual audit of 403(b) retirement plan and Health and Welfare Plan compliance
- Maintain current knowledge of benefit regulations such as ERISA, Florida Workers Compensation, and managing benefits in accordance with Summary Plan Descriptions and vendor protocols
- Manage possible conversion from fully-insured, to self-funded and hybrid structured benefit plans
- Coordinate employee benefits satisfaction surveys, analyze results and formulate recommendations for improvement
Leave of Absence (LOA) Management
- Facilitate Workers' Compensation claims. Identifying methods to reduce claims and promote safety
- Manage the FMLA process, administering approval for leave and evaluating restrictions
- Administer and track all LOA's, follow up with employees to ensure smooth return to work
- Oversee unpaid administration leave for DCF/DJJ investigations
- Coordinate employee payment of benefit premiums during LOA
- Point of contact for bereavement leave, jury duty, donated leave, and all other types of LOA requests
Compliance and Other Duties as Assigned
- Partners with VP, HR to research and investigate employee complaints and evaluation of findings
- Assists with the annual review and updating of HR policies, to including the employee handbook
- Administer the Learning Management System in ADP Workforce Now
- Manage resources, information and documents available to employees and management using SharePoint and ADP Workfoce Now.
- Conducts other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or management
- May cross-train with other HR team members to serve as a backup as needed
Location: 7524 Plathe Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34653
Schedule: 100% in office work schedule during first 90 days for training. After successful 90 days, may transition to hybrid schedule with 3 office days and 2 remote work days.
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED:
The ideal candidate will have a strong HR Generalist background, knowledge of employment laws and best practices, and benefits administration experience. Experience putting together informative guides and training material is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3 years direct experience in Human Resources as Business Partner or advanced HR Generalist required
- 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) required
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 30 pounds, bend, stand and sit for extended periods of time. Travel on a local and regional basis required. Up to 15% travel, visiting all YFA site locations.
