Summary of Position: The Site Supervisor is responsible for overall supervision of Outreach Workers and Violence Interrupters.
- Site Supervisor assigns daily canvasing schedules and monitors database input.
- Position would plan the schedules for activities for the Outreach Workers.
- Review and hold meetings to go over the current shootings and interventions that can be put into place, connect with communities to get the needed support, do outreach in the community to build strong relationships with the youth, businesses, and community groups, attend OEMII weekly supervision meetings, be an advocate for the youth in court, increase the staff visibility when shootings or killings are taking place by developing a network of outreach workers to coordinate and inclusive and immediate response, investigate the causes of these shootings to assist in mediating situations, and preventing retaliation between individuals and groups, identify and diffuse “hot spots” for violence, attend and participate in meetings with law enforcement, community outreach workers, prosecution, probation, and agencies providing opportunities to discuss recent situations and coordinate collectively to address and stop the violence, facilitate violence prevention and life skills workshops, document case notes and records with overall coordination of staff records.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required, plus four (4) years of experience in youth development, violence prevention, and case management.
- Extensive experience working with at-risk you and adults
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience and/or training in crisis intervention and staff supervision
- Prior management experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Positions requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
- Bilingual (Spanish) speaking is a plus.
