What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Software Engineer position at YourHR Partner?
About the Company
YourHR Partner is building an end-to-end AI recruiting platform that automates sourcing, interviewing, scoring, and candidate movement through hiring pipelines.
Our platform already supports:
- Automated outbound recruiting
- AI candidate scoring and ranking
- Fully voiced AI interviews
- Automated pipeline movement and decisioning
We are now expanding inbound recruiting, real-time AI evaluation, and proprietary voice systems—and we’re looking for a senior engineer to own and scale the platform.
About the Role
This is not a feature-only role. As a Senior Software Engineer at YourHR Partner, you will take end-to-end ownership of a production AI platform that directly impacts who gets hired and how decisions are made. You will work on real-time systems, AI scoring, voice technology, and high-volume data pipelines with clear performance and reliability expectations. You will be expected to think in systems, outcomes, and risk, not tickets.
Responsibilities
- Owning and evolving the core architecture of an AI recruiting platform in production
- Building and scaling inbound recruiting workflows (job boards, career pages, referrals, APIs)
- Maintaining and improving AI candidate scoring and tonality evaluation
- Supporting fully voiced AI interviews with real-time scoring and decision logic
- Designing reliable pipeline automation that moves candidates through hiring stages autonomously
- Building and maintaining high-volume API integrations and fallback ingestion strategies
- Ensuring platform performance, scalability, and uptime on AWS or equivalent infrastructure
- Implementing strong data integrity, logging, and audibility for candidate actions
- Writing clear technical documentation and reducing institutional knowledge risk
Qualifications
- 8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven ownership of production systems, not just components
- Strong backend engineering experience (APIs, async workflows, state machines)
- Experience working with AI-driven systems (scoring, NLP, voice, or decision engines)
- Experience building or supporting real-time or low-latency systems
- Comfort working with ambiguous problems and taking full ownership
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills
- Experience with voice, speech, or conversational AI systems
- Experience with resume parsing, recruiting platforms, or HR tech
- Familiarity with AWS scaling, load testing, and performance optimization
- Experience handling PII and compliance-sensitive data
Preferred Skills
- Not a junior or mid-level role
- Not a ticket-only or “just code” position
- Not a greenfield prototype with no accountability
